How To Find Out About Anything Without Using Google
Learning how to find out about the topics we need to know about can be quite a minefield. Because information is the key to just about everything we do, we need to learn how to find out about things without getting caught out. Yet finding the right information can be not only difficult, but downright frustrating and sometimes costly.
Whoever catalogued the information in the first place may not think the way we do and so the way it is collated may be totally alien to our own thought processes.
At some point, most people will turn to the internet. "Google it" has become an everyday phrase accepted to mean 'do a search on Google and find the information you want'.
However, when you do your internet search on Google or any other internet search engine for that matter, you generally find millions of results which leaves you to sort through and determine which results are relevant to your information search. Go on, try it for any search term, you'll find it very fast but you still are left ploughing through vast amounts of information.
In addition, when you use Google, you notice that at the top of the search results page are 'sponsored results'. This means that an advertiser paid for their entry to appear when you used one of their keywords as your search term. The advertiser who paid the most for their entry will be at the top of the list. These paid entries are not necessarily giving you the best answer to your query and are most likely to be links to sales pages to get you to buy the information you are looking for.
So because you and everybody else are searching for information, this presents an opportunity to marketers to put their products in front of you. The best advice is to be wary when searching for information and learn how to find out about the things you need to know.
